REBELS came from behind to TIE
In another nail biter of a match-up with South Bruce, the CHATSWORTH ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION Branch 464 PeeWee 'C' Girls came from behind to TIE the game and earned 1 point in their race for Provincials.

South Bruce got on the board with a breakaway goal at 6:32 in the 1st period.  The REBELS battled, but ended the period down by one.
The 2nd period went end to end with lots of digging at both nets, but Jade Gilchrist was the only one that capitalized on it with a nice shot 5 hole to tie the score (assisted by Jess Davidson).
South Bruce went ahead again at 10:15 in the 3rd and it looked like that's how it would end, as their goalie shut us down with every shot that came her way... UNTIL ...
Our coaches took a Time Out with less than 2 minutes left in the game and we all thought we knew what was coming (or who was coming to the bench), but just seconds after the face off ... Reese Wilkins made a pass to Abby Vokes setting her up for a breakaway.  Abby flew down the ice, deeked the goalie and TIED it up again with 1:35 left on the clock.
Both teams tried to get that go ahead goal, but it never came ... leaving these two amazing teams tied at 2!

Ashlynn Stephenson was great in net for the REBELS.  Thankfully the flu bug that had kept her down for the 2 days prior to the game didn't get the best of her.  What a trooper!  We couldn't have done it without you ASH!!

With 4 games down and 4 games to go, the girls are sitting in 1st place with 7 points.
