TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT!!!
The CHATSWORTH ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION Branch 464 PeeWee 'C' Girls travelled to Mildmay Friday night for their 3rd OWHA PROVINCIAL PLAYDOWN Game of the week, and pulled off a 1 - 0 Shut-Out Win.

Again playing with 9 skaters, the lines were shuffled around and it took awhile for the girls to get rolling.
These two top teams are so evenly matched and are both blessed with fabulous goalies.
Two full periods went by with no one lucky enough to find the back of the net.

Finally with 4:26 remaining in the 3rd, Tristin Brown broke free from the Mildmay defence and fired the puck top corner to break the tie, with the assist going to Lindsay Elliot.
The REBELS managed to hold on to the lead, even while killing a penalty in the final minutes of the game.
Ashlynn Stephenson records her 2nd straight shut-out.

Way to go REBELS ... after 8 games in 8 days, you definitely deserve a week off!
The girls face South Bruce again February 21st in Keady at 4:30pm for Game 4.
Come on out and cheer them on!

Royal Canadian Legion Chatsworth Branch 464 As important as our support of veterans and their dependants is to Legion, Ontario Command and its branch members find the time and energy to make significant contributions to our communities. Branches support other community based organizations financially, using funds raised through clubhouse operations, bingos, raffles and break open tickets. Each year, hundreds of thousands of dollars are donated by branches in Ontario to other community and service organizations. As well as financial support, in many communities, the Legion hall is the main meeting place and venue for other community based organizations. Most branches provide this service free of charge. As well as support for others, Legion branches operate, or help to organize and operate many community programs. These include public safety programs, programs for seniors, meals on wheels, sport and youth programs.
