It was a perfect end to the weekend. On a beautiful Sunday drive to Paisley the Desboro Tire Novice LL Rebels faced the Arran Elderslie White team. These two teams have had a lot of fun playing against each other all season and they didn't disappoint in the final exhibition game of the season
Karissa Rasmussen opened up the scoring in the first period for the Rebels. Then Austin Greig put the Ice Dogs on the board with a coast to coast rush in the second. Both teams continued to battle and chances were had by both teams right down to the final buzzer when Rebels goalie Robert LaFond tipped the puck up and over the net after stopping the final slap shot of the game!!! Fantastic game and terrific effort by all!
The Rebels will end their season in Mount Forest at the 31st Annual Novice Top Hat Tournament on Saturday, March 21st. It's going to be a great day!!!
