WOLVES EDGE THE REBELS
The TCDMHA Horton Concrete Novice Rep team hosted the Ripley Wolves for the first time in WOAA playoff action today in Keady and lost 4-3.
The Rebels had a slow start to their game and fell to a 4-0 deficit in the first period. But as the game pressed on, midway through the second period the Rebels found their momentum as Alex Baker scored the Rebels first goal with an assist from Neil Gilchrist and Jackson Greig. Moments later, Nathaniel Gibbons added another goal to the scoreboard assisted by Austin Cook and Alex Baker.
The Rebels continued to pressure the Wolves in the third period and finally Nathaniel Gibbons found the back of the net again with less than 2 minutes remaining (assisted by Aiden Fluney). The Rebels pulled their goalie and had a last minute scramble in the Wolves end of the ice but they were unable to even the score.
The Rebels will have another chance to play the Wolves again this Thursday evening at 7:30 pm in Ripley.
