The Air Tech Mechanical Bantam Rebels created their own storm in the third period to come from behind to defeat the Saugeen Shores Storm 3-1.
The Rebels came out strong and despite some good scoring opportunities it was the Storm who opened the scoring with 1:21 left in the first. The Storm would hold the lead into the third period. After killing a penalty early in the third, the Rebels went on the offence. Alex H picked off a Storm clearing attempt and blasted a slapshot past the Storm keeper at the 3:44 mark. The Rebels took the lead when Nate intercepted a neutral zone pass, raced in on a breakaway and went bar down. Nate added the insurance marker with 3:37 to play when he took a nice breakout pass from Matt, raced down the ice and dented the twine.
The boys are hoping teammate Marksy's injury isn't too severe and that he is back in the lineup soon.
Next action is 7:30 Tuesday in Chatty versus Walkerton.
