SS Games 2 &3: Peewees Dont Advance
The TCDMHA Chatsworth Legion Branch 464 Peewee C girls suffered a tough shutout in Game 2 vs. their League rivals-West Grey. The Girls were evenly matched as usual in their on ice play, the Just couldn't put one past the West Grey Goalie. West Grey was awarded some WELL deserved penalty minutes as they struggled to outskate Gabby McNabb-which resulted in the loss of McNabbs opportunity to shoot on their goalie. The girls kept their heads high and played an amazing game- making their fans proud. Goalie Jadzia Leask played her best game this season between the pipes and received the MVP !!

The final game of the tournament saw the girls play against their first US Team-12U Michigan Icebreakers. Michigan came to play and definitely fought hard to pull through with a 5-2 Victory. The Rebels goals were scored shortly before the end on the first by Kirstyn Sutter assisted by Grace Kivell Then again nearing the end of the third, Sutter put in yet another goal on a faceoff win passed over by Brontae Frook. Goalie Carly Juby Stopped a lot of shots from this small but mighty US team, and should be proud of herself as I know her teammates were!!
Great tournament Ladies!
Playdowns have now been scheduled-quest for provincials will see these girls with 2 home games in their series.
Come out and Cheer them on Feb 18 @ 7:30 when they host West Grey and March 4 @ 7:30 with their final series game vs Georgian Shores.

Royal Canadian Legion Chatsworth Branch 464 As important as our support of veterans and their dependants is to Legion, Ontario Command and its branch members find the time and energy to make significant contributions to our communities. Branches support other community based organizations financially, using funds raised through clubhouse operations, bingos, raffles and break open tickets. Each year, hundreds of thousands of dollars are donated by branches in Ontario to other community and service organizations. As well as financial support, in many communities, the Legion hall is the main meeting place and venue for other community based organizations. Most branches provide this service free of charge. As well as support for others, Legion branches operate, or help to organize and operate many community programs. These include public safety programs, programs for seniors, meals on wheels, sport and youth programs.
