International Girls Silver Stick
The TCDMHA “Chatsworth Legion Branch 464” Pee Wee C Girls had a great weekend in Saugeen Shores as they participated in the International Girls Silver Stick Tournament.

Friday afternoon the ladies travelled to the Southampton Coliseum to face-off against the Milverton Royals.  Kassey Mustard scored unassisted in the 3rd period to give the Rebels their only point of the game.  This game ended in a 1:1 tie.  Goalie Emily Roney was the MVP of the game.

At the Plex in Port Elgin on Saturday morning the lady Rebels played their league rivals the Saugeen Shores Storm.  Rachel Mallette (assisted by Gabby McNabb) scored the lone goal of the game giving the Rebels the 1:0 win.  Hannah Mustard with the shut-out.  Forward Rachel Mallette was the MVP of the game.

Saturday afternoon in the village of Tiverton we met for the first time the Blyth/Brussels Bulldogs.  Another hard fought battle for the Chatty girls and despite outshooting the Bulldogs they could not find the back of the net.  The Rebels fell 1:0.  Centre Jessica Moran was the MVP of the game.

After some anxious moments and the points working in our favour...the Rebels advanced to the semi-finals on Sunday.  Back at the Plex once again the Rebels played the Lambeth Lancers early Sunday morning.  Our lady Rebels fought hard but could not get past the defence of the Lancers.  The Lancers took the game 7:0.  Centre Gabby McNabb was the MVP of the game.

Overall the Pee Wee Girls had a wonderful tournament!!  Thanks to all our loyal fans for their support over the weekend!!  Many fond memories, not to mention some better hockey players, were made as a result of this great experience.
