A rip and a tear!
Don’t get in the way of bulldogs on a tear.   That’s the lesson to be learned from the awesome display of hard work, skill, and raw determination that the TCDMHA Power Workers’ Union Midget LL Rebels displayed when they seized another playoff win in Shallow Lake on Saturday night.

Jake Hartman opened the scoring with a goal assisted by Landon Heathers in the late minutes of the first period.  Chris Hardman added an unassisted marker in the second, and Carson Torrie capped off the Rebels’ scoring in the third, assisted by Josh Currie.  Goaltender, Jason Rudolph-MacLeod, earned his 11th shutout of the season.

The response from the other side was silenced by steady goaltending, aggressive backchecking, deep forechecking, and complete neutral zone domination that subdued the Lakers offence and shut down any hope of a comeback.  The Rebels played three solid periods with their trademark gentlemanly style, letting their skill do the talking and working perfectly together as a team to accomplish the win.

One more teensy weensy piece of outstanding business lies in the way of the Rebels striding into the Maroon Division finals: grabbing the W from Saugeen Shores Storm 2 this coming Tuesday night.  Playing with the well-disciplined skill they showed on Saturday, the Rebels have demonstrated that the win is well within their reach.
