Unstoppable!
The TCDMHA Power Workers’ Union Midget LL Rebels continue to
ride the winning wave with a 2-0 victory against Saugeen Shores Storm #1 in Southampton
last Wednesday, bringing the current
regular season win streak to a whopping eight games in a row!
The Rebels scored two goals, but that’s all it would take to notch their 10th win of the season – out of just 11 games played so far. Chris Hardman was the hero of the night, scoring both Rebels’ goals – the first in the opening period assisted by Jake Hartman and Jack Kivell, and the second in the third frame assisted by Jake Hartman. Goalie Jason Rudolph-Macleod came up big with save after save to earn him his 6th shutout of the season and make the Rebels’ two markers count for all the marbles.
The Rebels take their unbeaten streak into the first of two “dogfights” this season between the Arran-Elderslie Ice Dogs and our hometown bulldogs. So far, the Rebels have matched the Ice Dogs win for win, making this Sunday’s game a key one in the battle for “Top Dog” in the North Division. Go, Rebels!
