Holy Moly, What a Goalie!
The TCDMHA Power Workers’ Union Midget LL Rebels have a strong team this season, backed up by a stellar goaltending duo, and the Rebels' second win against the Kincardine Kinucks in Kincardine on Wednesday night proved exactly how stellar their goalies are!

The game started off at a slower pace than the usual Rebels intensity, most likely due to a common condition known as post-tournament let-down.  According to the team statistician, the Rebels’ first shot on net came at the 6:31 mark of the first period.  None of the bullets the Rebels fired found their target in the first period, but at 9:09 in the second, the first Rebels goal found home, scored by Chris Hardman from Jordan Longland, and the avalanche was unleashed.  The Rebels added two more goals in the second, one by Carson Torrie from Jake Hartman and Josh Currie, and the second by Chris Hardman from Carson Torrie and Charlie Scott.  The score going into the third was 3-0 for the good guys.

The avalanche of scoring continued in the third, with Jake Hartman adding one from Jack Kivell, Duncan Martin unleashing one set up by Jake Hartman, and Talmon Ash owning the last one of the night, assisted by Josh Currie.  As you can probably tell by now, the opponents were not finding any openings in the Rebels’ net, thanks to the spectacular performance by goalie, Jason Rudolph-MacLeod, who earned his well-deserved third shutout of the season, stopping all 23 of Kincardine’s shots. The win secured sole possession of second place for the Rebels, putting them just a point behind the division leaders, the AEMHA Ice Dogs.  The Rebels don’t play AEMHA until the new year, but are looking forward to that match-up to determine the “Top Dog” of the North Division.
