Midget Rep Rebels on a Roll
The Township of Chatsworth and District "Moggie Valley Timber Inc." Midget Rep Rebels made it 3 wins in a row in their quest to make it to the WOAA championships.

The Rebels haven't seen a lot of action recently and it showed as they took the ice versus the Listowel Cyclones.  There were glimpses of the puck control, passing and drive the Rebels have shown in the past, but overall they were flat footed and the much larger Cyclone team handed out a lot of punishment.

Rebels had several good chances in the first but couldn't capitalize and struggled to work as a team as well as stand up to the physical contact being handed out by the Cyclones.  For the most part, the Rebels held their tempers and didn't retaliate which was a definite plus for the team.
One minute into the 2nd period, the Cyclones scored and took the first lead in the game.
The hard hitting second continued and finally the Rebels evened the score when Cody Cunningham took a pass from Clayton Kreuger and skated up the ice and buried it in the Cyclones net.

A few minutes later Cunningham threw the puck out front to Wyatt Golem who one timed a beauty into the back of the Cyclone net.  Rebels had the lead!
Unfortunately it was short lived.  Less than a minute later, the Cyclones managed the equalizer and the teams headed into the 3rd tied at 2.
Period #3 was brutal with the penalty boxes and trainers all kept busy.
Alex Knight snuck one by the Listowel goalie with the help of Mitch Stevens and Cunningham and the Rebels regained the lead.
Somehow, the Rebels held on to win the game 3 - 2.

These 2 teams face off again - Sunday at 2 pm in Markdale.  This could be for the chance to advance.  Currently, Listowel have 2 points from a game vs. Walkerton.  They play Walkerton one more time.  If Listowel has 4 points when they face off in Markdale on Sunday, that would mean Rebels (who have 6 points) need at least a tie in Sunday's game to allow them to advance to the WOAA Championship series versus Wingham.

LET'S GO REBELS!!!
