Shut Out for Cumming
The Township of Chatsworth and District "Moggie Valley Timber Inc." Midget Rep Rebels were triumphant in their final game of the season as they butted heads with the Mount Forest Rams, defeating them 4 - 0.
With 5 wins each going into the game, the teams seemed evenly matched and neither was able to score through the first period and a half.
Finally, at the mid-point of the second, Wyatt Golem opened the scoring with the assist of Brandon Stewart. With 2.5 minutes left in the second, Stewart scored as Golem passed out front to Hunter Schultz. Still in the second, Austin McComb (assist to Trenton Chegahno) found the mesh behind the Ram goalie one more time to head into the third leading 3 - 0.
The Rebels had many scoring opportunities during the 3rd and finally succeeded when Tyler Calhoun passed to Chegahno who put it in the empty net. The Rebels ended the game 4 - 0, earning Rebel goalie Lawson Cumming the shut out.
