Split the Weekend with a Win and a Loss
The last time our 'COUNTRY CHARM MENNONITE FURNITURE' Bantam C Rebels faced the Mount Forest C Rams was in the Championship game of the Mount Forest Classic ...

The Rebels walked away with the banner that day ... but Friday night didn't turn out the same way.
The Rams came to Chatsworth with a score to settle, and they did just that with a 4 - 1 victory.  They had a strong 2nd period scoring 3 goals, and added the 4th early in the 3rd period.
Aubrey Urbshott got the Rebels on the board assisted by Carly Juby, with 10:39 left in the period.  The remainder of the game went end to end with neither team able to cash in.

The girls travelled to Walkerton on Sunday night to take on the Capitals.  They kept control of the play and earned a goal each period.
Emily Meuser got control of the puck in the defensive end, carried it around behind the net and sent it out to Jade Gilchrist at the boards.  She forwarded it onto Reese Wilkins at centre ice, who carried it down and made the shot on net ... and then managed to put in her own rebound.
Just like the song, it was a "Dangle, Snipe and Celly" for Tristin Brown, with an unassisted short-handed goal early in the 2nd.
The final goal came with 1:27 left in the 3rd.  Jade took the face-off in the Capitals end and Reese snuck in, picked up the puck and shot it in top corner.
Final score:  3 - 0
Along with her 6 mighty defensemen, Ashlynn Stephenson's strong performance in net earned the 5th shut-out of the season.

The girls are currently sitting in a 3 way tie for 1st place in the league.
The undefeated South Bruce Blades are coming to Chatsworth on Friday night, should be a good one!
