First Round of LLFHL Play-Offs is a WIN!
The TCDMHA PEEWEE B Legion Ladies were successful winning the first of possibly 3 rounds in LLFHL Play-Offs!!

The scoring started early with 2 in the first period one from Kloey Jex assisted by Maizy Hutchinson the second goal was a nice shot from the point and was scored by Abby Watson.  The second would be similar to the first with another 2 goals Tara Meikle got one and Kloey Jex got another both assisted by Emma MacDonnell.  The girls were not finished and Jex got one more in the third to earn a hat trick for the game assisted by Kaitlin Nickason.  Guelph was able to get one past out Goaltender to end the game in a 5-1 win for the Rebels.  This would give the team the 4 points that they needed to finish the first series of LLFHL and we wait for our next round.

In the meantime the team will be play in their OWHA Playdown for a Provincial spot.  Game one is tonight in Keady at 7:30, so make it a Date on Valentine’s Day and come out and cheer the Girls on!

Royal Canadian Legion Chatsworth Branch 464 As important as our support of veterans and their dependants is to Legion, Ontario Command and its branch members find the time and energy to make significant contributions to our communities. Branches support other community based organizations financially, using funds raised through clubhouse operations, bingos, raffles and break open tickets. Each year, hundreds of thousands of dollars are donated by branches in Ontario to other community and service organizations. As well as financial support, in many communities, the Legion hall is the main meeting place and venue for other community based organizations. Most branches provide this service free of charge. As well as support for others, Legion branches operate, or help to organize and operate many community programs. These include public safety programs, programs for seniors, meals on wheels, sport and youth programs.
