Shorthanded Victory
Hitting the ice with only 9 skaters, the Town & Country Garden Centre Midget B girls had their work cut out for them in their first play down game against the Walkerton Capitals.
Despite missing three of their senior players, the Midgets dug deep and hit the ice determined to leave with a win, and that they did. Period 1 was filled with lots of back and forth action, but neither team managed to put the puck in the net. Five minutes into the second, Walkerton managed to sneak one past Hannah. Two minutes later the Rebels put the first puck in the net, and then again, and again and again. Points were awarded to Amanda Zettle, Shannon Stryker and Kylie Maue with two. The game ended with score of 4-1. Hannah Mustard was stellar between the pipes and contributed to this great team effort.
