Entertaining battle for Tykes
The Don Crawford Carpentry Tyke Rebels hosted the Walkerton Capitals Tykes in an entertaining contest in Desboro. The Rebels scored first when Colton King pounced on a loose puck from Kayden Kirk and shot it past the Capitals goalie.
The Caps came back though with a few goals of their own to take the lead before Braden King broke free with his first goal of the season to get the Rebels back in it. Despite a heroic effort from Rebel goalie Grady Fritsch, the Caps kept coming and snuck a few more in. Braden was able to bang in another and Colton was able to out race a defender to blast the final goal of the game past the Caps netminder. Final score was a 9-4 loss. Strong defensive efforts today by Cohen Cook and Austin Edwards. Next up, the Rebels play during the Attack intermission on February 6th.
