The COUNTRY CHARM MENNONITE FURNITURE Bantam 'C' REBEL Girls hosted the West Grey Warriors and TIED Game 5.

Knowing it would be another tough game against their close rivals, the girls knew what had to be done.
The REBELS took the lead just 3 minutes into the game as
Kirsten Sutter scored assisted by
Ashlyn Mackison. but the Warriors managed to tie it up before the end of the period.
Midway through the 2nd period, a Warrior got loose and charged down the ice and scored on the breakaway. They fought hard but ended the period down by 1.
At the break between the 2nd and 3rd, the girls sent a few prayers to the
Hockey Gods.

They all came out strong in the 3rd period and with some force at the net,
Sammy DeJong tied it up at 4:26 with the help of
Ashlyn and
Kirsten.
Both
Hannah Mustard and West Grey's goalie made some remarkable saves and denied all attempts at a go ahead goal, leaving these evenly matched teams tied 2-2.
Both teams should be congratulated for a penalty free game.
With 1 game left to play on Sunday against Georgian Shores, I'm sure there'll be a few more prayers going out to the Hockey Gods between now and then.
GOOD LUCK REBELS ... WE'RE ALL CHEERING FOR YOU!
