A Hat-Trick for AIRDRIE and a Shut-Out for MUSTARD
WHAT A GAME ... for the COUNTRY CHARM MENNONITE FURNITURE Bantam 'C' Rebel GIRLS as they hosted the Georgian Shores Lightning!
It was their last game of the OWHA Playdowns, their last chance to secure a ticket to PROVINCIALS ... they HAD TO WIN!

They did just that with a shut-out no less, but now they WAIT to see if it will be enough!

With one game left to be played between West Grey and Owen Sound on Wednesday night, our REBELS must wait patiently for the results to see if they qualify or not.

After losing Jess Moran to a concussion last Sunday in Mildmay, Erica McComb stepped into her position and Aly Airdrie moved up from defence to fill her line.  What a move it turned out to be!
Grace Kivell got the REBELS on the board early in the 1st period, finding the loose puck at the net after a shot from Brittany Batterman at the point (assist to Erica McComb).
Early in the 2nd period, Lillian Harshman shot the puck to the net and Grace and Aly Airdrie made sure it went in.
With 2 minutes left in the period, Erica got a pass out of the corner to Grace onto Aly at the net.
Aly started the 3rd period with another beauty goal to complete her hat-trick, assisted by Grace and Brittany.

All 3 lines managed the puck well with lots of scoring chances and Hannah Mustard along with her strong defensive lines controlled our end of the ice, to earn their 4 - 0  Shut-Out.
These girls were in it to WIN it!  Great Job Ladies!
