The COUNTRY CHARM MENNONITE FURNITURE Bantam 'C' Girls split their weekend's playdown games.

The girls started it off with a disappointing 4 - 0 loss in Southampton Friday night to the top ranked Saugeen Shores Storm, but ended strong with a big 5 - 1 win in Mildmay on Sunday against South Bruce.
After Friday night's events, the REBELS regrouped and came out flying on Sunday ... with something to prove to themselves.
The passes were right on target and the shots made it to the net.
Midway through the 1st period,
Grace Kivell moved the puck up the ice and got the pass to
Erica McComb in the slot, who fired it high into the net.
Brittany Batterman let a shot fly from the point and
Jess Moran picked up the rebound to finish the 1st up 2-0.
Early in the 2nd, the South Bruce goalie got a pass up to her centreman creating a breakaway and a goal, but
Jess answered back with a rebound into their net thanks to another rocket from
Brittany at the point.
Ashlyn Mackison got control of the puck in the corner and passed it out to
Kirsten Sutter for a beauty goal early in the 3rd, assisted by
Sammy DeJong ... and
Jess finished off the scoring and her hat-trick on a short-handed breakaway midway through the period.
Tatem Edwards made fabulous saves throughout both games this weekend, and it was great to see the girls all working together as a team.
The girls host their close rival West Grey on Wednesday night at 6:00pm for a
very important playdown game in the battle for that 3rd ticket to Provincials.
GOOD LUCK GIRLS ... GO GET IT!
