It was an even match-up between the COUNTRY CHARM MENNONITE FURNITURE Bantam 'C' Girls and the Saugeen Shores Storm. The scoring went back and forth, but it was the Storm that ended up with the last goal ... taking the win 3 - 2.
The Storm surprised the REBELS with a quick goal to start the game, but at the end of the 1st period Jess Moran made a cross-ice pass directly onto Grace Kivell's stick and she was ready with a wrist shot high into the net to tie it up.
The Storm started the 2nd period like the 1st, scoring right off the faceoff.
After a flurry of shots by Jess and her wingers Kirsten Sutter and Grace ...
she finally found the back of the net for the REBELS to tie it up again.
The Storm added another a minute later and the REBELS weren't able to answer back!
(Not for lack of trying though!!!)
It was a great game to watch and from where we were sitting it looked like
everyone gave it their all.
These ladies should be proud of their accomplishment, going into the holidays sitting in
1st place in their division.
