The Desboro Tire Novice LL Rebels travelled to Shallow Lake and ended the game tied at 2!!!
Jimmy Couch opened the scoring at 2:07 of the first period after following the rebound off the post from Karissa Rasmussen and the Rebels were up 1 after 1.
Rebels goalie Robert LaFond and Lakers goalie Sean Nichols faced a lot of shots in the second and stood tall to stop breakaways from both teams!! Dani Strong found the back of the net at 1:37 of the second and then from the face-off 9 seconds later went down the ice and put it just over the glove of LaFond to make it 2-1 Lakers after 2 periods of play.
The third period was just as exciting with all the fans on the edge of their seats. The Rebels pushed hard for the net and Jackson Grieg was able to push the puck through the crowd and skate away to bury the tying goal of the game at 2:33 of the third!
Game tied at 2, and this is how it would end!! Great effort and great game Rebels!!!
