Great passes from Couch and Greig help Rebels beat the Predators
The Desboro Tire Novice LL Rebels travelled to Wiarton to face the Predators in WOAA playoff action. With two evenly matched teams and superb goaltending it was a heart racing, edge of your seat game!
Jackson Greig assisted the first goal with a great pass out front to Karissa Rasmussen who put the puck five-hole. Jimmy Couch looked up and had a great lead pass to send Karissa in on a breakaway, where she fired the puck hard past the Predators goaltender for her second of the game.
Mary Jane Klunder put the Predators on the board in the third.
Then in a final attempt to tie it up Wiarton pulled their goalie. Despite the fatigue that was starting to show, these young Rebels kept going and controlled the play, not allowing many chances for the home squad to tie it up!!
The final buzzer sounded and the Rebels win 2-1.
