HOMETOWN HOCKEY AT IT'S BEST
The Desboro Tire Novice LL Rebels treated the home crowd to a fantastic game Saturday morning in Desboro. With a full squad the Rebels were victorious over the Bruce Penninsula #2 team by a score of 4-2.

Xander Kirk opened the scoring for the Rebels by burying the rebound from a shot by Karissa Rasmussen. With the score tied and the minutes ticking down in the second period, the visitors struck again and went up by 1. However, on the very next shift the Rebels battled hard for the puck and Jackson Greig slid one past the Predators goalie with assists going to Karissa Rasmussen and Austin Rasmussen.

So we start the third all tied at 2, with chances by both teams to go ahead. Then at 5:35 of the third period Karissa Rasmussen out in front of the net takes a beauty pass from Jackson Greig in the corner and finds the back of the net!! Karissa would add another late in the third as an insurance marker, finishing the game with a score of 4-2! Great positional play by fowards and defence as well as a stellar game in net by Robert LaFond proved to be too much for the visiting team.

Next action for the Novice LL Rebels is tomorrow when they travel to Shallow Lake for a 2pm start. Go Rebels Go!!
