The "Country Charm Mennonite Furniture" Bantam HL girls
travelled to Wiarton Saturday evening looking to make up for their recent loss
to this team. Unfortunately Bruce Peninsula would have none of that!
A goal in the first period by Bruce Peninsula's Allie Heathers got this team rolling and coming on strong.
Bruce Peninsula scored twice in the second period (Rebecca Matindale and Heathers earning the goals).
Erica McComb got our only goal, unassisted in the third leaving the score 3-1. Great goaltending by Ceaira Hiemstra kept the score low.
Through the Fog, the TCDMHA "Country Charm Mennonite Furniture" Bantam HL girls were able to see the back of the Net!
We hosted the West Grey Bantam HL girls Sunday afternoon in a foggy arena, but all the action on the ice soon lifted the thick air and brought some excitement to the fans!
Astelle Wardell gets the action started with a quick goal in the first period, assists from Sammy DeJong and Renee Farrow. A lot of back and forth action but the "Country Charm Mennonite Furniture" ladies were able to find the net late in the first with Madison Thompson scoring getting assists from Erica McComb and Peyton McCauley.
West Grey brought all the action to our end in the second period but solid goaltending by Ceaira Hiemstra wouldn't let them get on the board.
Great defence in the third period as the West Grey team was anxious for a goal, but our Sammy DeJong was able to seal the deal with a 3rd goal, assists from Ashlyn Mackison and Astelle Wardell. Hiemstra earns herself another shut out, with her team working hard beside her. Great game
