The "Country Charm Mennonite Furniture" Bantam HL team travelled through slush and ice to Durham Sunday afternoon and it turned out to be worth the trip!
Both teams were hungry for the puck as they kept the goalies on their toes in the first period. A lot of action in both ends, but the period ended scoreless.
The Rebels were determined to get on the scoreboard in the second as they kept the puck in the Huskies end for most of this period, and it paid off! Renee Farrow scored first, followed by Erica McComb with an assist from Ashlyn Mackison. This period ended 2-0.
After a flood, the third period started and West Grey showed our girls they were not going to give us an easy win. However, Natalie Stephens shot one more in (with an assist from Brittany Batterman) ending the game at 3-0 for the Rebels. A well deserved shut-out for Ceaira Hiemstra.
