Kuhl Machine Shop Midget Rep Rebels Win Game 1
The Arran Elerslie Ice Dogs scored their first and only goal of the game on a power play late in the first period against the KUHL MACHINE SHOP Midget Rep Rebels.  Mitch Wand scored for the Ice Dogs, with an assist by Kevin Gowan.  It was the last time the Ice Dogs were able to beat the Rebels goalie, Aaron Johnson in this first OMHA playdown game.

Ice Dogs goalie, Zach Raynsford was able to keep the net clean and made some amazing saves to maintain a 1-0 lead until 3:41 remaining in the second period.  The Rebels Cameron Stryker saw an empty net, raced to get the puck and fired a slapshot into the top shelf to even the score at one.

In the third period, the Rebels scored five more times to win the game 6-1.  Scoring two goals for the Rebels was Jacob Roney (assists to Mitchell Pringle, Tyler Dietrich and Joel Delleman).  Getting on the scoreboard with individual markers were Jordan Baumber (unassisted), Graydon McArthur (assisted by Stryker) and Joel Delleman (unassisted).

Game 2 of the series is set to take place on Thursday, January 16 at 8:00 pm in Chatsworth.
