Jacob Roney scored the winning goal in a 3 to 2 victory for the Kuhl Machine Shop Midget Rebels. With only 1:40 remaining in the game, Roney received a pass from Joel Delleman to lift his team to a victory against the Mitchell Meteors in game one of the Gregg Division WOAA Championship.
Jamie Grey-Scott and Graydon McArthur also both scored goals for the Rebels and assisted on one another's goals. The Meteors scored both of their goals on power plays with goals by Sammy Skinner and Jordan Mabb.
Game two of this best of three series will be held Thursday night at 8 pm in Chatsworth.
In case you missed the news last night, game one against Mitchell is scheduled for 9 pm in Mitchell on Sunday (tomorrow). Vonnie has put in a request to see if they will come to Chatsworth at 7:30 pm instead, but for now and unless you hear differently, please count on the road trip.
