STRONG PASSING & HEADS UP PLAY
On Saturday afternoon the Barrys Construction Atom LL Rebels were hosted by the Saugeen Shores Storm in LL action. Strong passing and heads up play resulted in a 5-1 victory over the Storm.
The Storm came out strong and struck first when Ethan Walsh was able to sneak past our defense and go in alone on our goalie early in the first period.
The Rebels regrouped and struck back less than a minute later with a nice feed from Curtis Wade to Dalan Frook.
The 2nd period was scoreless until 2:56 when Ethan Harrison hit Frook again for another goal to take the lead. With only :18 left in the period Dalan completed his hat-trick with a third goal, with assists from Curtis Wade and Ethan Harrison.
In the 3rd period the Rebels were able to capitalize twice more with goals from Curtis Wade, assisted by Jordan Roney and Dalan Frook, and Dillon Fry assisted by Adam Gorman.
Great penalty killing and positional play also sealed the win.
Well done Rebels.!
We face the Icedogs Wednesday night at home.
