Fours in Seaforth:
The Air-Tech Mechanical Bantam Reps. traveled down to Seaforth for a rare Saturday night game this
past weekend. The drive must have tired the guys out because we came out
flat.
The Seaforth squad played an aggressive forechecking style that kept the pressure on us in our own end and created a number of odd man rushes. They opened the scoring in the first and got up on us by two early on. Evan Kuhl scored assisted by Josh Blackwell to get us within one. Seaforth would net another to take us to the break down by 2.
In the second the guys managed to scramble back with a pair of goals From Evan Kuhl one assisted by Josh Blackwell and the other by Austin Kuhl. We still went to third period down 4 to 3 with Shots remaining fairly even. Onto the third; the game started to get a bit more flow with each team having some cracks at the net. An early power play for the Rebels tied things up with his fourth of the Night (Evan Kuhl). The period had a lengthy injury break mid way through- reports are that the young Seaforth player is fine and will be back to the ice in no time. (always nice to hear) When the game resumed both teams picked up their play it was nice to see some passing and positional play happening, it was a contrast to the first two periods that seemed more like organized chaos. The game ended in a draw at 4 with the shots slightly favouring Seaforth 23 to 21. Good job guys to scratch out a tie!
