MIDGET C GIRLS END ON A HIGH NOTE
The TCDMHA Sierra Aggregates Midget C Rebel Girls participated in the
OWHA Provincial Championship tournament in Mississauga this past weekend.
Their first 2 games on Friday were nail biters, but unfortunately the Rebels came up short losing 2-1 to both Temiskaming and Ilderton.
Their third and final game was Saturday afternoon against West Northumberland. It was a hard fought battle to the bitter end, but Rebels winger Kristina Dyer grabbed the puck and headed up ice on a breakaway and with 8 seconds to go popped one into an empty net for a 1-0 win. Rebels goal tender Patti Scarrow is to be commended for her valiant play in net despite a painful knee injury!
The parents and fans wish to congratulate the girls on a great season!
