The TCDMHA Kuhl Machine Shop Midget LL Rebels played host to Walkerton on Monday
in WOAA LL playoffs. The Rebels opened the scoring midway through the opening
period on a goal by Kevin Ireton.
MacKenzie Pringle had the assist. The Rebels scored again midway through the second on a goal by MacKenzie Pringle with the assist going to Brandon Weinecke. Austin Dier got on the scoresheet on a great pass by Brayden Longland to go up by 3. 15 seconds later, Andrew Wheeler scored for the Rebels to give them a 4-0 lead after 2 periods. Cory McGregor chipped in the assist on the goal.
Walkerton got on the gamesheet 4 minutes into the third period. The Rebels kicked it up a gear to take back the momentum and scored 1 minute later on a goal by Jeremy Torrie. Braydon Longland had his second assist of the game on the goal. Walkerton scored with 6 minutes left in the game but that was all the scoring and the Rebels came away with the 5-2 win.
The Rebels are home again on Thursday when they play host to Howick in WOAA Elite playoffs. Game time is 8:30.
