SO CLOSE!
The Harold Sutherland Pee Wee Reps played the
Mildmay Monarch's Wednesday night for the chance to take over first place.
Coach Vokes went over the game plan with everyone before the game and the boys
listened.
David Harrison opened the scoring in the first period with a seeing eye shot from the point with one of the Mildmay players serving the too many men penalty. Owen Torrie with the assist. Mildmay tied the game late in the first knotting the score at 1.
The TCDMHA Rebels kept the pressure on in the second period scoring 2 more. Owen Torrie scored both goals with assists going to Reid Gill, Mitch McComb, Evan Mielhausen and Dakota Rody.
Things seemed to be our way, but Mildmay wasn't going to go away quietly. The Rebels received a couple of penalties in the 3rd, giving the Monarch's a power play goal and the momentum. Mildmay would score 3 more by the end of the game, taking it 5-3.
