STRONG Defensive Play Earns AIRDIE Player Of the Game
The TCDMHA "Homelife/Bayside Realty" Atom Girls Rebels
were shut out by the visiting Saugeen Shores Storm on Wednesday night.
Several Storm players got in on the scoring action, with single markers coming from Lauren MacDonald, Rebekah Cassidy, Jayedyn Solomon, Sasha Morano, and Kiandra Martin.
Saugeen Shores goalie, Marley Scott, didn't see much action as the Rebels were hemmed in their own zone much of the game, but she was solid in net, including stoning Rebels' centreman, Abby Vokes, on a breakaway.
Rebels' player Aly Airdrie received her team's "hardest working player-of-the-game" award for her strong defensive play. Rebels will host the Kincardine Kinucks on Saturday.
