Rebels and Lakers Battle to a 3-3 Tie
The Barry's Construction Atom LL#2 team hosted Shallow Lake #2 on Friday night in Keady. The fans were treated to stellar goaltending at each end of the ice, with the final score ending at a 3-3 tie.
Getting the Rebels on the scoreboard first was Jimmy Couch, as he buries his own rebound. The Lakers battled back and scored the only goal in the second period to tie the game at 1. Then Karissa Rasmussen fires a shot from the point to put the Rebels in the lead again. Austin Rasmussen scores his first of the season just 2 minutes later as he gets a great pass in front of the net from Jimmy Couch and Ashton Spencer. The Lakers didn't quit though and were able to sneak 2 more past the Rebels to end the game tied at 3. Great team effort Rebels! Heads up passing and great speed allowed all players to get a stick on the puck every shift. Next game is Sunday at 1PM in Keady.
