A win and a loss this weekend.
Our Rebels faced two Saugeen Shores teams at home this weekend. They came out flying on Saturday with a great defensive effort and many offensive chances resulting in two goals by Aiden Fluney. Assisting Fluney's goals were Ben Clark, Xander Kirk and Robert LaFond.
A team effort gave them a 2-1 victory over Saugeen Shores #3. Fluney was named by his coaches the "Barry's Construction player of the game".
Sunday they faced a very strong Saugeen Shores #1. Saugeen netted the first three goals. Jimmy Couch kept them in it with his goal from an assist by teammate Jackson Greig. There were great looks at both ends but it was Saugeen Shores who found the back of the net defeating our team 6-1. Karissa Rasmussen was named the player of the game for her excellent skating and hustle on defence.
