Up One in Championship Series
It was an inauspicious start to the game for our Barry's Construction Rebels in their first of a best of three final against Arran-Elderslie (red). Before they knew it the score was two zip for their opponents in the first period.
Did they lay down and quit? Heck no!!!
The entire team stepped it up and then Aiden Callahan Cummins strapped his team to his back and scored the next two goals unassisted! They never looked back. Jackson Greig sealed their fate with two beauties after passes from team mates Benjamin Clark and Sheldon Roger. Goalie, Robert LaFond was sharp when he needed to be and our defensive squad was amazing in shutting down their opponent's offence in the second and third period to secure the 4-2 win.
The second game of the series is scheduled for this Wednesday at 8 pm.
