The TCDMAH Girls Novice C Rebels faced off against the Saugeen Shores Storm this morning in exhibition at the Southampton Arena and the Rebels won 3-1.
It was a fantastic game that was scoreless until the 3rd period when Rebel Bree Wilkins found the back of the net with an assist from Tina Johnson. The Storm replied moments later with a goal from Jayna Johnson assisted by Caitlin MacDonald to keep the game tied.
The Rebels continued to play hard and their results paid off when Hennessy Koeslag scored again so the Rebels could take the lead. Both teams continued to battle but in the end Claire Torrie sealed the deal with an additional goal for the Rebels to bring the score 3-1 with 38 seconds left in the game.
Shaelynn McKee made her debut as goalie and had some great saves today to keep the girls in the lead.
