The "Country Charm Mennonite Furniture" BANTAM C Girls travelled to Ayton to take on the West Grey Warriors for game 2 of their O.W.H.A. Playdowns. They had to settle for 1 point for this game, as they weren't able to break the tie.
The REBELS won the 1st period, the WARRIORS won the 2nd ... and neither could break the tie to take the 3rd.
Joren Wilcox received the pass from
Kenna McKee and went coast to coast to score top shelf at 2:30.
Morgan Moran sent the puck flying from the point and
Grace Kivell tipped it up and over the goalie at 1:01.
Midway through the 2nd period, in a scramble at our net, the Warriors got on the board. Right off the faceoff at centre ice, Cassidy Graham stole the puck, flew down the ice and scored on the breakaway.
The game was tied at 2.
With both teams working to break the tie, the exciting 3rd period went end to end. Ashlynn Stephenson and the Warriors goalie shut the door at both ends of the ice and kept the final score 2 - 2.
The REBELS host the Owen Sound Ice Hawks on Monday night @ 6pm for their final home game of the season.
