GILCHRIST STRIKES AGAIN . . .
It was another cold, but exciting Friday night game in Chatsworth for the 'Country Charm Mennonite Furniture' BANTAM C Girls as they hosted the Mount Forest Rams.

The first period was controlled by the excellent goal tending of Tatum Edwards (Rebels) and Alyssa Varallo (Rams) and their strong lines of defence.
The Rams started off the 2nd period with a goal just 52 seconds in, but "Sniper" Jade Gilchrist answered back with her 1st goal of the night on a pass from Kirsten Sutter and Kenna McKee from the point.

The Rebels came alive in the 3rd period, got control and netted 4 more unanswered goals. . .
Maddy Vokes scored first, unassisted on a breakaway.
With our centre getting tossed from the face off, Sammy DeJong stepped in, won the draw and sent the puck straight to Reese Wilkins in front of the net for the shot in.
Jade got herself in position at the net and added her 2nd goal, assisted by Morgan Moran and Grace Kivell . . . and Jade completed her hat-trick with a rebound into the net with just 2 minutes left on the clock on a beauty pass from Kirsten Sutter.
Final score ... 5 - 1.

The girls meet Mount Forest again next Saturday, but host the South Bruce Blades on Friday night at 7pm in Chatsworth first.
Good Luck Rebels!
