Being down a couple of girls didn't stop the 'Country Charm Mennonite Furniture' Bantam C Rebels tonight as they hosted the Wingham / Lucknow 86'ers.
The girls dug deep, played hard and kept on top of the visiting team.
Scoring a goal each period, the Rebels took the game 3 - 0.
Kirsten Sutter pushed in a power-play goal midway through the 1st, on a shot from
Morgan "Birthday Girl" Moran.
Kirsten was on fire tonight and scored her 2nd, short-handed in a 5 on 3, assisted by
Morgan and
Reese Wilkins, and
Sammy DeJong completed the Rebels scoring with an awesome wrap-around / 5-hole combination, assisted by
Joren Wilcox and
Maddy Vokes.
Ashlynn Stephenson was solid in net for the Rebels, blocking everything that came her way.
It was a great team effort tonight, and the girls should be proud.
The whole Bantam C team is wishing Emma a speedy recovery ... they don't want to do it without you, but they'll work hard to do it for you.
