Fun Times for Midget Girls at Fallfest
The TCDMHA Town & Country Garden Centre Midget Rebel Girls participated in the Kitchener Fallfest tournament this past weekend. Although they ended up in third place, it was a tight race to the finish.

The girls faced BCH in game one Friday morning. Although the Rebels outshot BCH, they came up short losing 2-1. Amanda Zettle scored the lone goal for us on a nice breakaway.
Game 2 was against Petrolia on Friday afternoon. The Rebels dominated the play, backed by Hiemstra in net and defeated Petrolia 5-0. Emily Moore found the back of the net twice and Amanda Zettle, Valerie Gibbons and Morgan Williamson each chipped in one.
Game 3 was a nail biter against local rival Kincardine on Saturday morning. Kincardine opened the scoring late in the first period. The Rebels fought back with Williamson scoring twice. Emily Moore popped in #3 with 3:28 to go. Things got tense when Kincardine scored 10 seconds later, but Amandah Gill was able to hold them off in net for a sweet 3-2 Rebels victory.
In game 4 on Saturday afternoon, the Rebels came up against the undefeated team from Mooretown. Mooretown scored twice in the first period. The Rebels were able to fend them off in the second, but Mooretown scored again early in the third. Morgan Williamson was able to put one in the net for us on a pass from net minder Gill, but Mooretown sealed the deal with another goal and the Rebels lost 4-1 leaving them just shy of advancing to the finals.
