Hiemstra Gets First Shutout of Season
It has been a busy couple of weeks for the TCDMHA Town & Country Garden Centre Midget Rebel Girls. They hosted West Grey back on Oct.26th. Although the Rebels dominated the play, they were only able to put 2 past the West Grey net minder.

Morgan Williamson opened the scoring in the first, assisted by Shannon Stryker and Valerie Gibbons. Lindsay Nelson tied it up with 13 seconds left in the first. Williamson scored again in the second, assisted by Kaitlin Brancati, but Cassidy Howie answered back for West Grey and the game ended in a 2-2 tie.
The Rebels travelled to Ayton on the 30th to face West Grey again. The girls struggled that night losing 7-1. Morgan Williamson scored the only goal for the Rebels, assisted by Valerie Gibbons.
The Rebels were on the road again on Sunday afternoon when they travelled to Lions Head to face the Bruce Peninsula Predators. The girls had a much better game, but still came up short losing 3-0.
They rallied back at home on Wednesday night with a 4-0 victory over the Saugeen Shores Storm. Valerie Gibbons found the back of the net in the first, assisted by Kaitlin Brancati. Williamson scored the next 2 assisted by Amanda Zettle and Emily Moore on her first and Kaitlin Brancati and Valerie Gibbons on her second. Amanda Zettle sealed the deal, assisted by Shannon Stryker. Ceaira Hiemstra was great in net for her first shutout of the season.
