WOLVES tamed the REBELS
It wasn't from lack of trying ... but the "Harold Sutherland Construction" PeeWee REP Rebels came up short in Ripley last night in WOAA playoff action.
We found out the hard way what the WOLVES secret weapon to their winning record is.
SHE ... is their amazing 1st year GOALIE!
The Rebels took shot after shot, but she managed to swallow up almost everything they shot at her.
The Wolves struck first, but Nick Garrett managed to tie it up assisted by Calvin Stewart and Jordan Beirnes.
We were down 2-1 going into the 3rd, but shortly after the puck dropped the Wolves managed to flip 2 more into our net to take a 3 goal lead.
Robbie had some tough bounces to stop (why do they never seem to bounce in our favour?).
In the final minutes of the game, Mitch Stevens fired a canon from the blue line that finally produced a rebound opportunity and Calvin was all over it ... bringing the final score to 4 -2.
Tough one boys, you weren't out played, you just weren't as lucky!
