Round # 1 - Game # 1 - WIN # 1
The "Harold Sutherland Construction" PeeWee REP team travelled to Lucknow tonight for Game 1 of their 1st OMHA Playdown Series with the Sepoys, and brought home the WIN.
Both teams were kept scoreless for the 1st period, and then the Rebels took control of the 2nd.
Calvin Stewart picked up a pass from Cory Rasmussen and headed up the ice to score our first goal at 12:32.
The Sepoys answered back to tie it up a minute later, but Nick Garrett was quick to react on another long pass from Cory and buried the puck in the net at 10:59.
Josh Currie got the puck back to Mitch Stevens from the face-off and he fired it in from the blue line at 9:02, and
looking for a rebound in traffic at the net, Austin McComb snuck the puck behind the goalie at 4:14, assisted by Josh and Austin King.
Despite many attempts on the net and great passing from everyone on the team, Josh scored the lone goal in the 3rd period unassisted.
Robbie Hann had a great game and was solid in net for the Rebels.
Final Score 5 - 1.
Game 2 in the best 3 out of 5 series is back in KEADY on Friday night at 7pm, and Game 3 at our regular time at 1:30pm on Saturday.
