6 Game Winning Streak Broken ...
The Homelife Bayside Realty Atom AE Rebels were defeated by the Bruce Penninsula Predators in both games of their WOAA match-up.
Our Rebels headed to Wiarton on Sunday and came home with a 5 - 2 loss.
They were behind 3 - 0 going into the 3rd period, and it looked like they were making a comeback as Jakob Moran shot from the blue-line and managed to get it behind the Predator's goalie John Couch with 8:16 still remaining on the clock - assisted by Austin King and Carson Yost.

Carson Torrie carried the puck through the Predators' defence, with Carson Yost right there with him...ready for the pass...he took the shot and buried it deep in the net, to make it 3 - 2.
The Predators weren't done with us yet, and scored again with 2:34 remaining. We pulled Jason out of the net, for one last scoring attempt and ended up losing the puck and allowing an empty net goal to finish the game 5 - 2.

Game 2 - The boys hosted the Predators in Keady Tuesday night, and showed us how they can really play.  They fought hard, but took a beating... which resulted in Bruce Penninsula warming the bench in their penalty box for 14 minutes of the game.
Carson Yost started the game off right...getting the puck off the draw, skating down and scoring @ 9:33 - assist to Jakob Moran.  Jason Rudolph-MacLeod along with his defence, kept the Predators off the board until halfway through the 2nd when somehow 2 goals got in @ 4:20 and 4:08 to give them the lead.  Carson Torrie tipped in the 2nd goal for the Rebels @ 3:30 and went into the 3rd period tied at 2. The Predators scored midway through the period to take the lead. With no lack of shots on net and even playing the final 2 minutes a man up...the Rebels just couldn't get another one past the awesome Predators' netminder, John Couch.  The Final Score 3 - 2.

The Rebels continue their WOAA Round-Robin playoffs in Southampton on Friday night, where they take on the Saugeen Shores AE Storm @ 6:30pm.
Good Luck ReBeLs!!!!
