Disappointing Loss in Playdown Action
Town & Country Garden Centre Midget B Rebels suffered a disappointing loss in playdown action Sunday night in Markdale.
With the Rebels scoring the first goal, we were off to a great start when Bailey Longland hammered in her goal with the help of Nicole Ballagh-Evans and Courtney Torrie. Second period belonged to Grey Highlands with Brooke Betts, Justine Mayne and Amy Lipsett all scoring for the Shooting Stars. Attempting to get the game within reach, TCD pulled their goalie to get the score within reach but Grey Highlands Kenzie Pearson scored an empty netter to take the game to 4-1. A little over a minute later, Sidney Vaivods dumped her goal in with the help of Karlee Sweiger but it was too little to late as the Shooting Stars took the game 4-2.
