Predators Edge Rebels in Snow Day Showdown
KEADY, ON — The TCDMHA Rebels dropped a hard-fought contest to the Bruce Peninsula Predators on Thursday night, falling 6-2 in a pivotal U13 division matchup. The loss secures the top spot in the division for the Predators (7-1-0) and moves the Rebels' record to 5-2-1.

Despite a school snow day, the highly anticipated game went on, providing a thrilling spectacle for those in attendance.

The Rebels came out slow, conceding two goals in the opening period. However, they found their footing and turned the game into an exciting battle, though ultimately could not close the gap.

Lane Shines Despite Loss

Wesley Lane provided the entirety of the offence for the Rebels, netting both goals and earning Player of the Game honours.
The Predators, however, were clinical. They got on the board early in the first with a goal from Gunnarson J. at the 4:19 mark, followed by the first of three from Thomas H. at 9:00.

Thomas H. then scored twice in quick succession early in the second period (4:33 and 5:20) to put the Predators up 4-0. But the Rebels responded. Lane got TCDMHA on the board late in the second, scoring at the 6:33 mark to make it 4-1 heading into the final frame.

The third period saw the Predators extend their lead with goals from Levi M. (5:54) and Brady W. (6:56). But Lane fought back for the Rebels, notching his second goal of the night at 12:35. In the end, the early deficit proved too much for the Rebels to overcome.

Rebels Look Ahead
The Rebels will need to shake off this loss quickly as they hit the road this weekend. Their next challenge is the Orr Lake Golf Club Hattrick Tournament in Wasaga Beach.
