REBELS RALLY TO ROUT STEELHEADS 6-1 IN AYTON SHOWDOWN
Ayton, ON — The Township of Chathworth Mueller Plumbing Contractors U13 Rebels made a resounding statement in their fourth game of the season, dominating the Saugeen Valley Steelheads 3 with a decisive 6-1 victory on the road in Ayton, Ontario. The win brings the Rebels' early-season record to an impressive 2-1-1.

The scoring once again kicked off early by the Rebels' Jace Fullerton, who continued his early season charge to net scoring the games first goal—his fifth of the season—at the 5:19 mark of the first period. The Steelheads tied it up momentarily later in the frame with a goal by Utah B.
The Rebels’ offence exploded in the second, burying five unanswered goals.
The second-period surge featured a spectacular slapshot from the point by defenceman Carter Dykxhoorn. Fullerton added another to his tally, while Maverick Howell, Wesley Lane, and Owen Blakey all found the twine to seal the victory.
The game also marked the welcome return of Spencer Stewart, who played his first game of the year after recovering from an off-season injury.
Rebels Assistant Coach Ben Brown was highly complimentary of his squad's cohesion after the final whistle. "They had good positional play," Brown commented. "They are all where they should be; when someone is looking to pass, there is an outlet there. The team's really coming together," adding that this early chemistry is a very good thing especially this early in the season.
Landon Torrie was recognized for his outstanding contribution, earning the Player of the Game honours.
The Rebels' next game this Saturday November 1st at The Plex in Port Elgin where they will take on the 1-1-0 Saugeen Shores Storm 4 at 2pm.
