Rebels Find the Net in Season Opener, Win 6-1
KINCARDINE, ON — The Township of Chatsworth, Mueller Plumbing Contractors U13 Rebels launched their 2025-2026 season with a commanding performance Saturday, delivering a decisive 6-1 victory over the Kincardine Kinucks in OMHA action.
Just 15 seconds after the puck dropped, Maverick H. found the back of the net, marking the first and fastest goal of their young season.
Maverick went on to have an exceptional day, contributing a total of two goals and earning Player of the Game honours.
The scoring onslaught was matched by team captain Carter D., a defence man who showed his offensive prowess by netting two goals of his own. Rounding out the scoring for TCDMHA were Wesley L., and Jase F., each adding a single goal to the Rebels's six-goal total.
Goaltender Ryan M. was a strong presence between the pipes, anchoring the defence.
The Kinucks's lone goal came from Cohen S., who managed to sneak one past Ryden.
The team will look to carry this momentum into their next matchup on Monday, when they travel to Lucknow to face off against the Huron-Bruce Blizzard Grey.
