Team Fun in Stratford
The JCO Tree Farms Bantam C Girls ventured off to their first tournament in Stratford November 15 and 16.
The Bantam C Rebels really came together as a team in the first away tournament of the year. They all worked together as a team in an exciting chance to play in some great arenas.
The tournament opened with a great effort against Mitchell and a 2-2 tie. The second game saw a great effort against the eventual winner St.Mary's in a close 2-0 loss. The third game was an 8-0 loss against a strong Grey Highlands team.
In the final game, despite having to use a substitute for a broken skate, Lauren Johnson scored early and the girls went on to win 3-2 in their first win of the year. The last game really showed their heart as there were some injuries and penalties to overcome. The Rebels only ended up a few goals short of moving on to the semi-finals.
Players of the games for the tournament were Allison Hoy (2), Jacklyn Beirnes and Kylie Hesch.
